About us
As longtime educators, admissions directors, and parents, we’ve seen firsthand how modern parenting has changed. Today’s families are juggling careers, information overload, and the constant pull of screens, and it’s taking a toll on early learning. We started the Purposeful Play Kindergarten Prep Box after realizing that many preschoolers were entering kindergarten without key foundational skills. Recent nationwide studies show that only about 40–50% of children enter kindergarten fully prepared, not because they lack potential, but because parents often don’t know where to begin. Our mission was to change that by creating a simple, structured, research-based way to help parents confidently support their child’s development at home.
The Purposeful Play Kindergarten Prep Box is a curated collection of fun, hands-on activities designed by educators to build the essential skills children need to thrive: language, literacy, math, fine and gross motor, social-emotional, and independence—through just 15 minutes a day of purposeful activities. In a world where parenting can feel overwhelming, our box provides clarity, confidence, and connection. It’s more than a learning tool; it’s a way for families to slow down, play with intention, and prepare their children for a confident, joyful start to kindergarten and beyond.
